Youth Strength and Speed Development

ANNEX Sports Performance Center has developed a year-round, age-specific training program geared to the athletic development of the younger athlete.

Science has proven that ages 9-12 are the most critical years in a child’s life for motor skill development. This age is a critical time in a young athlete’s life where they are capable of developing sound motor skills and movement patterns that are paramount in maximizing future athletic potential. The Annex utilizes the most up-to-date research and training in developing these young athletes and most importantly, applies training that will minimize the risk of injury. The body is extremely receptive to kinetic development at this age and therefore should be taken advantage of in developing simple movement patterns that have a high carryover to athletic performance.

Program Highlights Include:

  • CORE Development
  • Speed and Agility Development
  • Improved Balance and Coordination
  • Increased Relative Body Strength
  • Flexibility and Injury Prevention
  • Nutritional Guidance
  • Mental Toughness and Motivation

Training sessions are held twice a week, each session lasting one hour. Class size is limited to 8 athletes.
